The next "Levures, Modèles et Outils" meeting (LMO) will be held on July 1-3, 2026 at Institut Agro Montpellier, campus La Gaillarde, Montpellier, France.
The first LMO meeting took place in 1991 at the Pasteur Institute in Paris. This conference was then organized regularly to bring together the scientific French-speaking yeast community. LMO provides a valuable opportunity for graduate students and postdocs to present their research to an audience of yeast experts and meet scientists from the academic and industrial sectors.
The LMO conference brings together researchers from diverse backgrounds and cultures, offering fresh perspectives, sparking innovative ideas, and paving the way for new collaborations. Its originality lies in uniting two complementary dimensions of yeast research: their role as a biological model for understanding the fundamental mechanisms of life and their use as a tool in food, fermentation, and biotechnology.
